On 7th August 2025, the talented students of Grade 7 (A & B) at Vydehi School of Excellence took the stage for a vibrant and thought-provoking Special Assembly themed “Gender Equality – Breaking Barriers, Building Bridges.” The morning began with a warm welcome speech, a unifying prayer song, and an inspiring “Thought for the Day” that reminded everyone, equality is not optional, it’s essential.

The highlight of the assembly was the lively prelude skit “Ajji Visits Bengaluru – A Gender Equality Surprise!” that blended humour and heart to portray shifting gender roles in society.

This led to a creative Vydehians TV Channel presentation featuring standout performances:
🎤 “Gender Unplugged” – a bold and rhythmic rap breaking stereotypes.
💃 “Masculine Mudras” – boys performing semi-classical dance, redefining tradition.
🎭 “Voices of Equality” – monologues of icons like Malala Yousafzai, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, and Savitribai Phule.
🕺 “Rhythms of Equality” – a dynamic Western dance celebrating unity and inclusion.

With humour, emotion, and flawless coordination, the programme left the audience inspired. Ajji’s heartfelt acceptance that dreams know no gender became the emotional highlight of the day. The event concluded with a powerful pledge, the National Anthem, and loud applause for these young changemakers. 🌟
