Vydehi School of Excellence with immense pride and joy showcased the Pre-primary and Grade1 Annual Day on the theme ‘One Celebration’ on 19 January, 2024.

Our Pre-primary explorers dressed as Genie, Dora and Diego took us on a magical journey to discover our world through the magic door witnessing celebrations across the world with vibrant colours, joyful laughter, and the spirit of togetherness. The celebration commenced with a grand opening of welcome dance, where the students put up a stunning performance that left the audience spellbound followed by Waltz of the flowers by the Nursery students. The rhythmic beats of the drums in the African dance, the swift movements of the dancers, was a testament to the resilience and strength of our ancestors, who lived in harmony with nature. Next, we witnessed smooth swaying of the Hawaiian dance performers in their vibrant attire. Genie’s journey along with Dora, Diego, troll and fiesta trio continued to the wild west with the cowboy dance, which brought alive the spirit of adventure and freedom that defines the American frontier. The lively music, the energetic steps, and the iconic cowboy attire, all contributed to creating an atmosphere of excitement. Students also depicted the fiery world of Spanish dance along with their dramatic expressions. We arrive in China, just in time for the Chinese New Year. The dragon dance, lanterns, the fan, and the fireworks, all added to the festive atmosphere.
Finally, we were transported back home to India, to celebrate the victory of our Indian Hockey team and representing the razzmatazz of Indian dances. It depicted the rich tapestry of cultures that make up our own country, through the universal language of dance. From the graceful Mohiniattam dance of Kerala, Kavadi dance of Tamil Nadu to the energetic Bhangra, each dance told a story of India’s rich cultural heritage and vibrant traditions. The students beautifully presented a skit “Sunny the yellow Ladybug”, which demonstrated the importance of embracing our individuality and uniqueness. The grand finale of the annual day celebration was a mesmerizing display of choir, dance, and fashion show that featured traditional clothing and accessories from different countries.

Our Annual Day celebration served as a catalyst for recognizing the beauty in every moment and inspired us to approach each day with a heart full of celebrations.
