Co-scholastic activities and academics, complement each other and develop a well-rounded, socially skilled, and healthier student. Students who are involved in extra-curricular pursuits, tend to improve their academic grades due to increased self-esteem, motivation and better time management.
At Vydehi our co-curricular activity yearly plan is designed to complement academics and provide students with various platforms to showcase their efforts and talent.
Vydehi students won cash prizes and medals at the “All India Hope Talent Contest for Art & Essay writing”. Divya Abhipsa of grade 2, Souhardya Sarkar of grade 3 and Awalin Syed of grade 8 won the Gold medal with cash prize at the Art competition while Madhur Krishna of grade 7 won the gold medal for essay writing.
‘NAZARIYA’ , is a mega national level inter-school painting competition for children which potrays their views on the environment. Kabiish Ghosh of grade 2, won the first prize in the sub junior category.
Our students participated in a creative project competition organised by the Rotary club Whitefield, as part of Swachh Bharat initiative. Shwetha and Kamya from Grade VII won first position for their creative project on the dangers of plastic pollution.
We are extremely proud of our student Aarav Giri of Grade IX who grabbed the City level winner award in the Essay Writing Competition organised by the TATA group.
Aurora Fest 2018-19 was conducted at the KMV Red Hills High School, Hesaraghatta. Our students Deboshree Datta (grade 8), Arvind B (grade 11 ), Aarav Giri and Sonam Rudra (grade 9) Won 2nd position and got cash prize for Math Model making while Anmol Agarwal-grade 8, Shraddha Devagiri grade 9 and Rushil Rajesh grade 11, Won 2nd position and got cash prize for Science Quiz.
Our students A.C Raghava and Shraddha Devagiri from Grade 9 got First place in science model making competition conducted by Dayananda Sagar University, while Pritish, Rushil and Saidutt from Grade 11 won the 3rd position.
Gunjan Modi of Grade 12 and Sayanth Shajith of Grade 9 competed with 5000 other participants and won the 1st position with a reward of Rs.10,000 and a trophy at the Career Launcher -National Legal Quiz competition.
At the Volkfiesta 2018 organised by Deens school, our students won multiple prizes including 1st Prize for Fusion dance and the “Tribal Dance competition”, 2nd position for Stand-up comedy & Folk music and also “Best model” at the Fashion show.
Vaishnavi Iyer of Grade 9 won the 1st position at the “Consonance” – An Inter School Music Challenge.
At the interschool World Folk Fest, “Wings of Fire”, students from grade 6 & 7 were runners up at Indian Panorama singing competition and Mime Act.
Tarun Mathew cleared the Music examination conducted by London college of Music with distinction.
At the All India Hope talent Contest conducted by SCHOOL INDIA our students won top prizes in various categories.
Ruthvi Shetty secured 1st position and won a trophy in the Inter School Colouring Competition conducted by Heritage foundation.

At Vydehi we strongly believe in providing students with opportunities and encouragement to hone their leadership skills. Model United nations is one such forum which saw active participation from our students this year. Model UN motivates students to learn and teaches them about world issues, it builds confidence and diplomatic skills. It’s a chance to air your views on complex issues, network with peers and collaborate.• We organised our very first internal MUN with 55 students participating across three committees. • Our students won glory at the Model United Nations organised by Ryan International school including Commendable Delegate award for Tushar under UNHRC, special mentions under AIIPM and DISEC for Sayanth Shajith, Meenal and Anirudh. • At the MUN organised by CMR PU college, Shivam Rao of Grade 11 won the Outstanding Delegate in the Security Council. • At the CUFEMUN, organised by Christ university, Gunjan Modi who represented herself as the Delegate of Lok Sabha Menaka Gandhi won The Best Mention award • At the Deens Model United Nations, our students won top honours including Shivam Rao of Grade XI- Outstanding Delegate under Security Council. Ashwin Ashok of Grade XI- Best Position Paper. Siddharth Baradwaj of Grade XI- Honourable Mention under Security Council. Anirudh Raghav of Grade IX- Special Mention under DISEC. • At the Christ college Department of commerce MUN, Yedu Renjith won a special mention award and a cash reward under the UNEP Committee. • At the (EH MUN) 2018, held at the Emerald Heights International School, Indore, Vydehi School of Excellence won several accolades. Yedu Krishna Renjith of grade 12 won the Best Delegate under DISEC. • Gunjan Modi of grade 12 & Krishna of grade 10 got Verbal Mentions under UN HRC. • Vydehi School of Excellence participated in the biggest and the oldest MUN of Central India with 14 committees – The Indore World Summit (IWS) held at Renaissance University, Indore from 17th to 19th August. • Yedu Krishna Renjith of Grade XII bagged The Best Delegate under UNEP and Sayanth Shajith of Grade IX bagged The Runner Up under International press. __________________________________________________________________________
Committee has been set to supplement and complement the curricular or main syllabi activities. These are the very important part and parcel of educational institutions to develop the students personality as well as to strengthen the classroom learning.
The committee is intended to promote school teams, math clubs, chess clubs,talent shows, spell bees, writing competitions, MUN’s, debates, jam sessions, environment club, elocution, reading clubs, field trips, excursions and much more.
